About us
As dedicated community allies, our mission is to significantly improve the lives
of transgender and gender-nonconforming Black, Indigenous, and People of
Color (BIPOC) individuals residing in Philadelphia, PA. We pride ourselves on
being a transformative and Black-led organization specifically focusing on
serving a diverse community of approximately 2000 people. Our multifaceted
approach encompasses various initiatives aimed at uplifting the voices and
addressing the needs of trans BIPOC individuals. We recognize that education
and skills development are fundamental to personal growth and empowerment;
therefore, we offer a wide range of tailored training programs. These programs
not only cater to different skill levels but also provide practical knowledge in
areas like career development, interpersonal communication, and leadership. To
further enhance personal development and strengthen the sense of community
among our members, we have implemented a robust mentorship system. This
program fosters essential relationships between experienced professionals and
those seeking guidance or support in various aspects of their lives
OUR ACTIVITIES
Our mentors cover a broad spectrum of fields, ensuring mentees are paired with someone who aligns with their specific needs and aspirations. Recognizing the unique mental health challenges faced by trans BIPOC individuals, we also provide valuable counseling services tailored to address these issues effectively. Our counselors are knowledgeable about LGBTQ+ related matters, racial equity, and are equipped with the necessary sensitivity to create a safe space for members seeking help. In our pursuit to champion transgender justice within the community, we dedicate ourselves to organizing a multitude of inclusive events and activities designed to foster positive change
